Designer Katie Jones channels Frida Kahlo with this fun cropped, boxy bomber. Inspired by Frida’s fabulous Mexican folk style, Katie has created a jacket that looks great with jeans or over a dress. Gorgeously big granny square pockets and bright rainbow stitches set against a black background for maximum pop make this crocheted garment super fresh. Did you see the Dolce & Gabbana SS19 granny square collection? Crocheted granny squares are definitely having a moment! Let's get in on this fashion movement!!

You can crochet this in any heavy worsted or aran weight yarn. We made ours with Blue Sky Worsted Organic Cotton yarn, which comes in a jillion colors, is super soft, and feels great when crocheted. While we haven't tested it, it might work well in Loopy Mango's Big Cotton yarn if you wanted a slightly chunkier or denser stitch. They have great colors too.
