Simpatico Wrap

Knitting this double layer shawl designed by our friends at A Verb For Keeping Warm couldn't be simpler... pick any two yarns ranging from lace to sport weight, cast on 1 stitch, knit and purl each row with increases on every knit row, switch to your second yarn when you run out of the first yarn, and then make decreases on each knit row. (There's an actual pattern with the details, but this is the main gist.) Next thing you know, you have a square consisting of two distinct triangles! You can make this as big or as small as you like... tiny kerchief style or as a big shawl. Try pairing a hand-dyed yarn like Tosh Merino Light with a light and fuzzy Silk Cloud, or matching colors of different texture yarns from Shibui like Pebble and Lunar.
