Use a simple basket-weaving technique to create a woven bowl out of sturdy, felted wool. You can choose from a variety of colors of Tough Love Tiny - a felted wool by Love Fest Fibers - which creates a delightful texture and level of refinement, as well as a measure of structure that ordinary wool yarn would not provide to this beautiful piece. Once you learn the twining technique, you can transfer your skills to other containers and molds with ease. In class, you'll learn how to start the bowl, the twining technique, how to finish the bowl, and how to transfer the technique to other pieces. Leave class with a fully completed bowl. Final bowl measures 10" x 2 1/2”. All materials are included, so you just have to show up and have fun!

TEACHER • Anne Weil of the Flax & Twine blog/website, is a craft pro, national teacher, and author of Weaving Within Reach and Arm Knitting. We have hosted Anne's workshops many times at Cattywampus to raving fans and are always thrilled when she comes back to Ojai. "Clean and simple design thrills me. I make things for home, for play, for gifts or for fun. More than that, I love showing others how to make them, too! I find peace and happiness in making, but understand the challenges of finding the time as a busy mother of three. Wanting happy-making in my life inspired me to start writing this blog and then, to leave my life in investment banking behind. Stay a while and let me bring a little of my happy handmade life to you!"

Classes and workshops can be refunded if the event is more than 5 days from the date of the refund request. Classes may be canceled within 2 days of the event if there are not enough registrations, in which case a full refund would be provided.
