This class is for anyone 13 year's or older who is brand new to sewing (or for those adults who last took a sewing class in junior high). You will get to know the basic functions of your machine and complete a simple, lovely, tote bag in the process. So dust off that sewing machine, use one of ours, or get a new one and let's get you stitching! By the end of class, you'll be ready to take any of our Beginner Sewing classes.

We have sewing machines available for you to use - not just for this class, but any time! Once you take our intro class, you can rent a sewing machine for $10 to use in our classroom whenever you like. So for all of you who need a quiet space to spread out and focus on a project, this is for you!

• adjusting tension

TEACHER • Denise Thomas is the ultimate home sewer and crafty lady. She's been teaching kids and adults to sew for decades and isn't showing any signs of slowing down. Denise was the home economics teacher in Ojai before the program was sadly eliminated from the school district. Take a class with Denise and you'll come away happy, for sure!

Classes and workshops can be refunded if the event is more than 5 days from the date of the refund request. Classes may be canceled within 2 days of the event if there are not enough registrations, in which case a full refund would be provided.
