Worked in light and exquisite Woolfolk Sno, this shawl has a graduating grid pattern articulated in simple stockinette lines and seed stitch pattern. This juxtaposition of textures forms gentle pleats when worn loose and long. This shawl is worked from short end to short end with gradually lengthening blocks of seed stitch framed by stockinette stitch columns and purled divider rows. At the beginning of the shawl, each block of seed stitch is four rows tall. Two rows are added each time through the chart, so that by the end of the shawl each block of seed stitch is thirty-four rows tall.

In this one day class we will get you set up and started on this project by going over chart reading and how to best keep track of following the pattern. There isn't any tricky stitchery, so this is really about understanding the structure of the grid pattern and how to make a plan for yourself so that the knitting is easy and enjoyable. Hooray!
