We love this crocheted pot holder for its thick cotton feel, durability, and protection as well as how easy and joyful it is to make. It's crocheted in the round and magically comes together as a double layered square. It's durable and good looking... and can go with whatever color palette you desire! Cleaning is easy - just throw it in the washer and dryer. We think a handmade potholder like this will make a fantastic gift. Pair it with a beautiful cookbook or kitchen utensil for an extra special holiday present. Our teacher Jody James wrote this pattern herself and loves sharing it with the Cattywampus community. The pattern is included in the class fee.

Here at Cattywampus, we are all about the joy and specialness of having a handmade holiday, which is made even better when making together! We are offering a different knit and crochet project every month in October, November, and December in preparation for the holidays. Each one is intended to be a fairly easy pattern so that you can make more than one by the end of each month. We will meet up three times a month for each project. There is a class instruction option for those who need support and guidance throughout the project ($30 for three sessions, 3-4 pm) or a knit/crochet-a-long option for confident knitters/crocheters who simply want camaraderie (free, 4-5 pm). You will have the chance to win a $30 gift certificate raffle prize on the last day of each project. Raffle tickets are earned by showing up to the scheduled dates and for every completed project. The more you come and the more you make... the greater your chances are to win! There will be a grand raffle prize of $100 at the end of all the holiday projects on Friday, December 21st at our knit group Cattywampus Christmas party.
