SACRED GOD’S EYE • Fiber Art Workshop, June 24 (12-4 pm) Saturday$75.00
The God's Eyes originated from the Huichol Indians from the Mexican Sierra Madre and served to bring the sacred into their lives for protection and grace. At this time in history, these can serve to bring hope into our living spaces and lighten our spirits for the new year. In this 4 hour workshop we will make several kinds of God's Eyes with all natural materials ornamented with pompoms and tassels. Special attention to the craft of weaving, pattern making, and design will be given to elevate these God's Eyes to sophisticated wall hangings. This class is best suited for people 10 and older.
